Overview
Hosted by the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP), the Addiction Leadership Conference (ALC) focuses on gathering executives, owners, marketers, and directors to discuss national substance use disorder treatment standards.
In the late 1970s, California program directors were discussing the lack of public and political representation for nonprofit treatment programs in the private sector. In 1978, this led to a formal proposal to establish the National Association for Alcoholism Treatment Programs (NAATP), which has hosted the Addiction Leadership Conference almost every year since.
