Overview
“Crank” is slang for methamphetamine, usually with the implication that it’s impure and cheaply manufactured. In other words, the opposite of what Walter White produces.
History and Etymology
The slang comes out of the 1960s when motorcycle gangs were known to carry methamphetamine inside a bike’s crankcase.
