Overview
Geritol is a brand of supplements that are high in B-vitamins and iron among other minerals.
For those in recovery from chronic substance use, especially alcohol, they may need to correct severe nutritional deficiencies such as a depletion of Thiamine (Vitamin B1). Geritol Liquid is sometimes used to help restore baseline levels of these nutrients. At the same time, using the supplement without medical supervision is dangerou since high-iron supplements can overload the liver’s capacity to process iron, which is impacted by chronic drinking, and consequently trigger hepatotoxicity.
